What Will We Do During This Retreat

 

Asana  is Sanskrit for “seat”. The idea of the “seat” in this context refers not only to the physical position of the body, but to the position of the spirit in relation to Divinity. This idea is often referred to as the “One Seat”, by Yogis and Buddhists alike. This help to purification of the physical body through the traditional practices of shatkarmas followed by the practices of asanas, pranayamas, mudra and bandha.

 

Meditation is a state of profound peace that the body experiences when the mind is calm and silent, yet completely aware of the surroundings. you will get a primary concept of meditation, philosophy of meditation, meditation postures, mantra concept, anatomy, and therapy of meditative practices, yogic nutrition, naturopathy.”

 

Pranayama  is comprised of two words Prana and Ayama.Prana word means vital energy.Pranayama utilizes breathing to influence the flow of prana in the nadis of the pranaamaya kosha.Pranayama (breath) is a bridge between the body and the mind and its practices are an essential yoga practice that reveals deeper layers of the mind.In Pranayama we learn to control our breath by regularly practicing. Chakra or Kundalini is considered as the hidden power house of a human body which can radiate unimaginable energy once awakened. Since years, Yogis and Sadhus practice for Kundalini Awakening to connect with the Supreme with consistent sadhana. In Ashtanga Yoga Darshan, Kundalini Awakening is known as the supreme form of Yoga Sadhana, which is attained after gradual mastering of previous seven layers of Yoga Sadhana. Kundalini or Chakra as known as the energy centers, which can generate tremendous amount of energy and can take a human to a state of complete trance or super-human. Chakra

 

Chakra (chakra in Sanskrit) means “wheel” and refers to energy points in your body. They are thought to be spinning disks of energy that should stay “open” and aligned, as they correspond to bundles of nerves, major organs, and areas of our energetic body that affect our emotional and physical well-being.

Some say there are 114 different chakras, but there are seven main chakras that run along your spine. These are the chakras that most of us are referring to when we talk about them. Each of these seven main chakras has a corresponding number, name, color, specific area of the spine from the sacrum to the crown of the head, and health focus.

Asana

 

Explore yoga poses (Asana) by type, from arm balances to backbends, inversions, twists and more. Plus, find sequences and step-by-step pose instructions for each to enhance your practice. Asanas are one of the most important facets of Yoga. Each asana is performed for a particular beneficial reason. Yog Nidra

Yoga Nidra literally means "Yogic Sleep." In this deep meditation you train your attention to leave the chatter of the Waking state of mind, go past the fantasy of the Dreaming state, and consciously, intentionally enter the stillness of the Deep Sleep state, yet paradoxically remain awake and in deep meditation. For thousands of years the Yogis have used Yoga Nidra to master the art of sleep, to balance the subtle energies, and to experience greater depths of meditation.

Mantra

 

It is believed that mantras can penetrate the depths of the oblivious mind. A mantra is a revealed word, a divine sound that has been received or experienced by an adept in the state of deep samadhi (spiritual absorption). It is a condensed form of spiritual energy, the sound body of the Divine Being. It can also be thought of as a compact prayer. During this training you will feel the power of Mantra.

Sat Kriya

 

Important part of Yoga science is to let the unwanted out so that the nature fills the requirement in time, which also helps to perform to asana or pranayama without straining. Non Cleansed system cannot gain much benefit from yoga. Yoga has six important cleansing techniques which prefer as a master tool to cleanse whole body to union the system mechanism cooperative during the path of meditation, which the technique is termed as shatkarmas in sanskrit. These techniques are highly valuable in healing all the possible internal disorders. The six practices of shatkarmas are as follows:

o Trataka

Teaching Methodology

Beyond philosophy, meditation, asana, and Pranayama, there is still much more for an intern to learn about teaching Yoga. These subjects get some attention, during a 200-hour Yoga certification course, but once an intern has successfully graduated, a peripheral subject becomes a part of daily independent research or continuing education.
Teaching methodology is learned by instructing classes. Interns should have a firm grasp of the principles, practices, and procedures involved in teaching classes. Upon successful graduation, interns have learned the necessary procedures and techniques involved in teaching a class.
